National Leader Joins New Mexico Federation of Democratic Women’s Spring Meeting

New Mexico – Today, the National Federation of Democratic Women (NFDW) President Susana French delivered the keynote address at the New Mexico Federation of Democratic Women’s (NMFDW) Spring Meeting in Los Lunas.

New Mexico Federation of Democratic Women President, Pam Cordova said, “New Mexico is the place to be for Democratic politics this year. We’re working in our communities across the state, and showing everyone that Democratic values are New Mexico values.”

Shortly after, President Trump was elected the New Mexico Federation of Democratic Women got national attention fromDNC Chair Tom Perez for the work they did to train nearly 100 organizers at their Pantsuit Power Workshops. Since then, the organization has grown in membership and expanded to 11 chapters in New Mexico counties.

During her visit, National Federation of Democratic Women President French said, “It’s clear that New Mexico Democratic women are in tune with their communities. Today, I saw women from every corner of New Mexico come together to talk about the issues facing their state, talk about solutions to those problems and prepare to take action. 2018 is going to be an exciting year in New Mexico.”

Susanna French is a long-time activist in democratic politics where she has served in numerous capacities nationally and in her home state of Kentucky. She was the youngest woman ever elected as President to her state federation after she had served 4 years as state Treasurer. She is an elected member of the Kentucky Democratic Party State Central Executive Committee, Chairman of her county party, and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Emerge Kentucky Board of Directors. She served 2 consecutive terms as the NFDW Southern Regional Director, 1st Vice President of the National Federation of Democratic Women and was convention chair for the national convention in Louisville, Kentucky. She was awarded the NFDW Outstanding Member of the Year in 2015. Susanna has chaired or sat on numerous state and national committees.

Susanna lives in Benton, Kentucky with her husband, Jamie and is the proud mother of 3 children, Krista, Danielle, and Matt. Professionally, she is the General Manager of Alexander Development, Inc – Premier Disaster Restoration and the co-owner of a retail business with her husband.

National Federation President Will Join the New Mexico Federation of Democratic Women at Spring Meeting

New Mexico – The New Mexico Federation of Democratic Women (NMFDW) announced today, that the National Federation of Democratic Women (NFDW) President Susana French will be coming to New Mexico to keynote their Spring Meeting in Los Lunas. The event is open to the public, but space is limited. Those interested in attending should email nmfdw@outlook.com for tickets.
